Focused on beneficial reuse, GSI's treatment of organic waste produces high quality finished compost that is sold in bulk and bagged format for horticultural and landscaping uses. The bulk soils produced and wide selection of indoor and outdoor gardening products have earned us the highest marks from the landscape architecture community, plant producers and green space maintenance experts.
We produce more than 50 products that are sold in stores, national retail chains and nurseries.
Some of our products are targeted toward the agricultural market: these include amendments and alternative organic fertilizers. The latter have various origins, including pulp and paper mills and municipal treatment plants and the availability of each amendment and fertilizer varies in each region depending on the generators of the residue.

The horticultural products dedicated to domestic uses are offered in bags under two brand-names: Humix "Earth essence" and BioGro.
Humix
Humix “Earth essence ” is a high-end horticultural product line dedicated to home gardeners seeking optimal performance. Several of the Humix products are Ecocert Canada approved for use in organic farming.

Alternative Products
GSI offers Alternative Products which are custom-made products containing recycled organic matter and are designed to meet new or recurring needs: site remediation, agricultural land application, erosion control and alternate daily cover for landfills.
